1st Annual Junior .22 Shooting Competition for ages 10-17 was held on Sat. Sept. 24th 1p.m.-5p.m.
Fun was had by all! We had 39 juniors and families attend the event. Prizes and trophys were awarded to all the sharp shooters! Thanks to Joe Fee for planning the event and thanks to all who volunteered their time to make the day a success.

The Junior Program started Wednesday September 14
The program will meet every Wednesday night this year, except during school vacations and snow days, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. until June. Anyone interested in attending just stop by on Wednesday night or contact Dick Striano at 781-749-7271 or send him an email

In House Membership Drive
Ninety percent of the club revenue is derived from dues, a direct result of membership. To increase membership we are beginning a new type of drive, hopefully done by our current members.

Beginning Oct. 1, 2011 a current member will have $10.00 deducted from their 2012-2013 dues for each new member they bring in. The same will apply to instructors for students they train and join the club. A further incentive will be $130.00 total dues for these new members. Put your name and “in house” in the upper right hand corner of their application. Applications are on the shelf of top of the blue lockers, in the back room.

Missing
Fletching jigs for archery are missing. If anyone has info please contact any member of the board or email info@weymouthsportsmensclub.com.

Outdoor Archery Range Approved
Money has been approved to set up outdoor archery, two stationery and two moveable. The materials need to be obtained and then set up.

Reminder: Brass in the range
Someone recently took about $300 worth of brass from the range. The money we receive for this brass is used for the junior program. As a result, the brass in the range is now secured. Members are welcome to take back their own brass.

Firearms Needed
The junior program needs firearms. If anyone has a firearm they would like to donate to the junior program please contact Dick Striano at 781-749-7271 or send an email. Thank you in advance.
